Sideline
Terms of Service
Last updated September 15, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sideline—our mobile app and the website at sidelinehub.org (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Who we are
Sideline provides tools for organizing and following grassroots soccer and basketball—leagues, tournaments, teams, live scoring, and player profiles. You can reach us any time at support@sidelinehub.org.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your location. If you’re under 18, you may only use Sideline with a parent or guardian’s involvement.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app (Account → Delete account). Deletion removes your profile and associated personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Acceptable use
When using Sideline, you agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringing, or impersonate another person or team.
- Misuse organizer tools—for example, collecting money for events you don’t intend to run.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Upload another person’s photo or personal information without their permission.
We may suspend or remove accounts or content that violate these Terms or put other users at risk.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add—team names, logos, photos, and the like. You grant Sideline a limited license to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and promote the Service (for example, showing your public event page). You’re responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.
5. Payments, entry fees & refunds
Sideline supports two separate kinds of payment. They are handled differently, so please read both.
Event & league entry fees (via the website)
When you register and pay to enter an event or league, payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of the organizer. Our refund policy is:
- Before the event starts: you may request a refund of your entry fee, and it will be returned to your original payment method.
- Once the event has started: entry fees are non-refundable, because the organizer has committed venue, scheduling, and roster spots based on paid registrations.
Organizers may offer more generous terms at their discretion. Card processing fees may be non-refundable. To request a refund, contact the organizer or email us at support@sidelinehub.org.
Teams subscription (in-app purchase)
The optional Teams subscription is sold as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are managed by the app store, and refunds for the subscription are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by Sideline. You can cancel renewal any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Organizers who collect entry fees are responsible for delivering the event they advertise and for handling their own tax obligations on funds they receive.
6. Organizer responsibilities
- You are responsible for the events you create—their accuracy, safety, scheduling, and any communications with participants.
- You must comply with local laws and any venue rules that apply to your event.
- Sideline is a tool to run your event; we are not a party to, and not responsible for, the events themselves.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep scores, standings, and stats accurate, but we don’t guarantee they are error-free or always available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sideline is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between organizers and participants. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Sideline after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
