Common questions

Is Sideline free?+
Yes — getting started is free, with no card to sign up. Organizers can optionally charge an entry fee for an event or league, and there is an optional Teams subscription for extra team tools.
Do I need the app to follow an event?+
No. Every event and league has a public web hub with standings, schedule, results, rosters and live scores — anyone can open the link, no app or account required.
How do players get a profile?+
Accounts and profiles are created in the Sideline app. Your stats, awards and history are then tracked automatically across every event you play, and your profile is viewable on the web.
Do you support soccer and basketball?+
Both — with full sport-specific scoring and stats, kept separate on your profile so a season of each never mixes.
How do I register for an event?+
When an organizer opens registration, a Register button appears on that event’s page. Log in, add your details, and (if there’s an entry fee) pay securely through Stripe.
What is your refund policy?+
Event entry fees are refundable before the event starts and non-refundable once it has started. Teams subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and handled by them. See our Terms.
How do I create an account?+
Create your account in the Sideline app, where you set up your player profile. Then you can log in on the web to view your account.
