Privacy Policy

We collect the information you give us and a little that’s needed to run the app:

• Account info — your email, name, and username when you sign up (including via Apple or Google Sign-In).
• Profile info — anything you choose to add: photo, date of birth/age, height, nationality, positions, and preferred formats.
• Sports data — the teams, events, rosters, matches, and stats generated as you use Sideline.
• Payment info — when you pay an entry fee or buy a subscription, payment is processed by Stripe or the app store. We receive confirmation and basic transaction details; we never see or store your full card number.
• Device & notifications — a push-notification token so we can deliver alerts, and basic device/diagnostic data to keep the app stable.
• Usage & analytics — limited analytics to understand and improve the app. You can opt out of analytics sharing in the app’s privacy settings.

• Provide the Service—run your leagues, show live scores, and build player profiles.
• Send notifications you’ve enabled (game updates, invites, role assignments).
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Keep Sideline secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• Improve features based on how the app is actually used.

We do not sell your personal information.

Some information is public by design so leagues work—your team, event pages, and, if you choose, your player profile and stats. You control your visibility from the app’s privacy settings, including a Spectator Mode that keeps your profile private until you make it public. Private events and unpublished data are not shown publicly.

We share data only with service providers that help us run Sideline, including:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting, notifications, and crash reporting.
• Stripe — payment processing for event and league entry fees.
• Apple & Google — sign-in and in-app purchases.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

• Access & delete — you can delete your account and personal data any time from Account → Delete account. This removes your profile and associated data.
• Control profile visibility and analytics sharing from the app’s privacy settings.
• Manage notification permissions from your device settings.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, portability). Email support@sidelinehub.org and we’ll help.

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, though some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or accounting reasons (for example, transaction records).

Sideline is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

If we update this policy, we’ll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
